After more than three years since their last release, Southern Fryed is headed back to Nashville, Tennessee to record their third album.

"We’ll be headed to Nashville to record at the East Iris Studio which is formerly known as the House of Blues studio with Grammy Winner Mills Logan," said lead singer, Russ Brown. "This studio is vintage and stays true to their heritage and the history that comes with it."

According to Brown, many legendary artists have recorded in this studio to include Billy Joe Shriver, Robert Plant, and Vince Gill to name a few. Additionally, Mills Logan has worked with an endless list of artists such as Toby Keith, Josh Turner, Billy Gibbons, Travis Tritt, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts, Sammy Hagar, Luke Bryan and Kenny Rogers.

This latest album will include four new original songs that are high energy and a "cover song" from Turnpike Troubadours.

"We feel great about the songs that we’re putting on this album," added Brown. "The fans have really gravitated toward them at our shows."

During this trip to Nashville, the band will also be performing at Bucks Bar, Friday night May 21st and on Thursday May 27th, Brown will be performing at a songwriters round at Belcourt Tap.

Additionally to help with travel and recording, the band has started a Crowdfunding campaign. This effort includes various levels of rewards that will only be offered through the campaign, including physical and electronic copies of the new album, hats, t-shirts, and a Southern Fryed acoustic guitar.

"The thing with this campaign is that the album is getting done regardless if we meet our goal or not," said Brown. "We’re doing this to allow the fans to be part of the making of this album."

Fans can view the crowdfunding campaign on the bands website, https://www.southernfryedband.com/crowdfunding.

Southern Fryed's third album is slated to be released this fall with a single being released in July.
